About Dawn Timony
I've been practicing Reiki since 2007 and and began teaching Reiki in 2015. Initially introduced to Reiki as a way to help my daughter with health issues, it became the inspiration for my own healing journey.
Reiki has had a profound impact on my life. Receiving treatments and practicing self-care has helped me through major life changes, personal challenges, and health challenges. I'm so grateful to have such a safe, gentle, yet powerful, way to support my well-being and keep me healthy. There are so many times in life when we may feel helpless to care for ourselves or those we love. With Reiki it feels like I have something to offer...a way to show compassion. I love sharing Reiki and find it so rewarding to help people experience relief, realize they can feel better, cope with their challenges, and be happier. |
My mission is to help clients
achieve relaxation and find their way back to a state of wellness. |
My intention in starting a Reiki practice was to share Reiki with those who are struggling, be it physically, emotionally, or spiritually, so they may experience relief and find their way back to wellness.
As my journey continues, I practice Reiki meditation and self-care on a daily basis and study with my Reiki teachers. I also practice yoga and study mindfulness and the ever-growing scientific research into energy and the mind-body connection. I bring to my Reiki practice the commitment and high standards I maintained in my career in corporate marketing, advertising, and graphic design. In addition to Reiki training, I hold a BA from Geneseo, studied at the School of Visual Arts, and am CPR and First Aid Certified. I also provide Reiki treatments at The Community Growth Center. |
Reiki Training: Levels I, II & III (Master/Teacher) with Lorraine Austin of Hands of Enlightenment. Level III (Shinpiden-Reiki Teacher) with Frans Stiene of the International House of Reiki.
